Alex’s Family Reunion

Alexander Road High celebrated their 63nd birthday last week. On Friday morning the official Founder’s Day assembly took place, followed by fun activities for the whole school. Each class formed a band, made their own instruments and performed a 60 second item for the school. On Friday night various reunion groups met all over the city. The celebration continued into the weekend with the annual Family Day sports events on Saturday. The festivities culminated with the traditional girls’ rugby match where the Alex student leaders played the matrics. The matric girls scored in the final minutes of the game to win 12 – 7. Alex’s founder’s celebrations are always well supported by past and current pupils alike and the Saturday is truly aptly named, ‘Family Day’.
