Heath wins big at Athletics Day

Cheers to another successful year at the Westbourne Oval! Both the spirit and physical prowess was high at last week’s Athletics Day. For the first time in seven years, Heath was the overall winning house, with Protea coming in second. Heath also won the spirit cup and Aloe came first in the cheerleaders presentation. Our athletes impressed with four new records in the field events. Mitchelle Chininga (u16) and Nazley Bhabha (u14) each broke the shotput record in their respective age group. Bianca Graham in broke the u14 javelin record and Simonique Kayser reached a record height on the u15 high jump. Congratulations to our individual all-rounders in the Victrix and Victor Ladorum competition. The junior champions are Tatum Dace and Roberto Sauls, and in the senior category, Clireez Brugh and Adeeb van Tonder came out tops.
