u14 Sports Festival Growing Ever-popular

Alexander Road High School hosted their annual under-14 Co-Ed Sports Festival at their school fields on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The festival affords teams the opportunity to engage in pre-season preparation and to gain much needed match fitness and team cohesion.

Since its inception in 2019, the festival has grown in popularity from a two-day event to a bumper three days of thrilling competition. This year, there were approximately 850 learners from 21 schools participating in rugby, hockey, netball, and soccer. The sportspeople came from all around the metro, including five United Through Sports teams, as well as Grahamstown, and there were debut visits by East London schools, Clarendon Girls and Hudson Park.
