Alex at Eco Academy Water Polo event
Nine Alexander Road High School learners represented the school at the Eco Academy Water Polo event, held on 16 - 18 January 2026 at Eco Pools. The Eco Academy is a high-performance training experience aimed at developing the next generation of elite water polo athletes.
The programme is open to participants from junior and senior schools and focuses heavily on technical skill development, tactical awareness, physical conditioning and mental performance, all delivered by experienced coaches in a high-intensity environment. The Eco Academy programme also plays a vital role in the ongoing development of our waterpolo programme.
Participation in the Eco Academy assisted in raising our players’ confidence, and equipped them with enhanced skills and game intelligence, qualities that they can bring back to their training and competition.
Well done to our Alexans, Kyle Ansley, Muhammad Baboo, Wade Beling, Tristan De Klerk, Cole Williams (Boys 1st), Jenna Charles, Logan Gray, Bailey Rae Harward and Keena Minnaar. We are proud of our Alex representatives who embraced this opportunity. As a result of your growth and commitment, the future of Alex waterpolo looks promising.
