Alex Musicians in Pizzicato Pizzazz Strings Festival

The string ensemble, under the direction of stand-in conductor, Mariechen Meyer, took part in the annual Pizzicato Pizzazz strings festival at Summerwood Primary School on Tuesday, 15 April. Congratulations to all our players who flew the Alex banner high and proud in the esteemed company of almost every other strings department in Gqeberha! Each of the 3 pieces performed was met with the rapturous appreciation of a filled-to-capacity auditorium.
Thank you to all the parents who make every effort to support their children in these after-hours endeavours. Thank you also to the committed staff involved. It is no mean feat providing our young people with these fantastic opportunities, but it yields great reward for everyone involved.
