Alex Star Cricketer Does It Again

Amber Bothau19 Ep Girls

Amber Leigh Botha has once again caught the attention of cricket plaudits and writers. In a recent article of the Cricket Fanatics magazine (7th edition) she has been earmarked as a future Protea Women's cricket player.

Amber Botha (affectionately known as AB to her team mates) has already cemented her place in the EP Women's cricket team. She has also represented the EP girls under 19 cricket team every year, since 2017, when she was only a grade eight learner. The talented Alex sports star has enjoyed playing for her school team, which she has captained for the past three seasons.

Although cricket competition has been limited in 2020 due to Covid 19, she continues to work on her fitness and on her skills in her spare time.

The Alex 1st team girls' cricket coach, Lawton De Klerk was full of praise for Amber. "Amber has always displayed a high level of professionalism. She works hard and places a lot of effort into a game that she enjoys so much. She would be most deserving of her future prospects for national selection."
