Amazon Vice President visits Alex IT students

Yesterday, we were privileged to have old Alexan and Vice President of Amazon Web Services, David Brown, visit our school to give a talk to over 100 Alex IT students. Our students learned all about Amazon’s cloud computing and AI usage, from both a developmental and ethical viewpoint.

David works in Seattle for Amazon’s cloud department. He was excited to share how his IT career started with learning to code right here at Alex. Thank you to Prof. Jean Greyling, Head of Department for NMU’s Computing Sciences, for arranging the meeting.
