Grade 12 trained by the great Dr John Kani

Last week, Grade 12 Alexan, Odwa Tungela, participated in a 3-day intensive acting Master Class with the John Kani Performing Arts Academy held at the Mandela Bay Theatre Complex. He was a part of a small handful of actors selected from Gqeberha for the Masterclass, and received training directly from Dr John Kani.

Odwa has received First in his grade in Practical Drama for two years, and we know that this experience will keep him going from strength to strength in his lead role as Mingus in Sophiatown, and his confirmed position at the Waterfront Theatre School in 2027.
