Alex hosts Debating Festival

Last week Friday the Alex debating society hosted 22 teams of debaters from 11 schools around the metro for a festival to kick off this year’s debating season. In two rounds of friendly competition, the participants argued the merits of a “one-child policy” and whether South African courts should use a jury system for criminal cases.
