RIP Mr Castelyn

It is with deep sadness that we mark the passing of Mr Johan Castelyn, to date, the longest serving member of the staff who, when he retired, had been at Alex for 45 years! Mr Castelyn will be fondly remembered for his contributions as a teacher, coach, subject head, and deputy principal. He was a kind, dependable pillar of our community. We send our love and condolences to his family.

A memorial service celebrating the life of the legendary Johan "Cassie" Castelyn will take place at 12:00 on Thursday, 10 November, at the Newton Park Methodist Church. It will be hosted by the Alex family and all are welcome.
