Societies Day

We are into another year at Alex and it has been a busy one for many of our societies already. Each year we have a Societies Day to display the many facets of school life that learners can be involved in over the course of high school.

This year was no different with our 35 societies setting up displays in the hall to encourage learners to join. There were the classics such as the Quiz team, Interact, Chess and AlexPress, with newbies such as Junior Drama and the very new, Conversational Xhosa, picking up some eager Grade 8s.

Many of the societies dressed up to the occasion and performed for their fellow Alexans. This included performances from BEAT and Dance Sport. The Lego League had their display items on show and the Video Club made sure everyone saw their floating sign!

When there is much to choose from, being involved has never been easier! Check the notice boards around the school for updates on the different events.
